Amber
Amber Edwards is a talented self taught 14 yr old NZ artist, with "a very funny & inventive cartoon style". She illustrated ' Too Many Cats!', a 32 page children's picture book by Joy Cowley, at only 11 years old. Joy Cowley wrote a story, 'Dragon Droppings', especially for Amber, which she illustrated at 9 years old,after Amber met Joy at Storylines in Auckland in 2008. Amber is passionate about cartooning, and has run successful cartoon workshops at primary schools which have had a great response. She was one of the Artists in Action in the illustrators gallery at Storylines in 2011. Amber works very fast, & prefers to draw directly with ink. She is confident illustrating in black & white or colour. She also loves writing, & is currently working on another childrens picture book, which she has written & illustrated.
